Just seen the trailer for this game, how realistic?

I've seen it claim a few 'Game of the Show' awards at E3, and I cant say im surprised.

It looks incredible atmospheric and looks like half movie, and half game, although probably not 'movie integrated' as Farenheit, but still, Alan Wake is looking as if its showing the world proudly of what the Xbox 360 can do, and just think, this is only 30% of the power being used

Cant wait for this game, Remedy have done a great job on this, and hopefully it will make a bigger splash in the gaming pond than the hugely acclaimed Max Payne (I still think Max Payne was the trend setter for The Matrix Bullet Time in games, and I dont think any game has come close since).

Really looking forward to seeing how Alan Wake will look in terms of combat (thats if you can destroy your own nightmares), cant imagine Mr. Wake running around with Shotguns or dual pistols rolling around and jumping slow-mo like good old Max, but it'll be interesting none the less.

Yeah I can't wait to see how combat is tackled.. I'm hoping for a more fragile main character rather then how Max Payne was confident with how he handled his weapons.

Yeah, I cant see a writer dealing with tradgic loss handle himself just as much as a hard boiled action seeking cop with tradgic loss.

Perhaps he can threaten the nightmares with writing bad things about them in his new novel, although, I think that would be either a) very boring b) stupid.

Maybe he has a past where he was the 1987 kickboxing champion of Wales? :D

Awww. Come on. We all love the good ol' dual miniguns shoot-em-up-bad Duke Nukem style! :p

I reckon the scarf and overcoat is just a disguise. I reckon he has a few miniguns tucked into his sock, ready to blast things with :D

Haha. I kinda do agree with ADM though. Would be nice with a fragile main char instead yes.

x360? I thought it was suppose to be running on a PC with R520 during the E3 demo.

Anyway, if that 30% figure is true, i think most probably its the CPU load, as the video are just graphic rendering. I think the GPU is almost at its best. :p
