I would like to know who the people from Remedy are that will be posting on this site so I can keep an eye out.
So if it's not a problem, could any Remedy staff post here and say who you are and what your role at Remedy is.
Update:

I don't know how many others from Remedy will follow the suit, but I guess it's fair 'nuff to tell you guys something about myself.
I guess one could describe me as a life-long gamer who suddenly found himself working in a game company.
I am CFO/Office manager at Remedy. I have a degree in Business Administration from Helsinki School of Economics, with main interests in Finance. I also have previous work experience in the field of finance from other employers in other industries. Remedy is a fairly small company, so in addition to the finance part I also order pizza for the guys :) Well, let's just say that I do a lot of stuff...
I've been playing video and computer games starting from a TV game and moving on to VIC-20, C-64 and finally better and better PCs. I also have a PS2. My favorite genre of games are strategy and management games, although I do stumble around several of the shooters and sports games. Last played games were Half-Life 2, Victoria, NHL Eastside Hockey manager...that I recall.
I don't know what else might interest you guys, so if you want to ask me some questions, I might (or might not) answer them...

My official title is "level designer", but i'd say "gameplay designer" is a bit more accurate. I do not work on graphics (unless doing some placeholder stuff), but on AI, physics and mission/game design.

... and you also do lots of social service to the RMD fans .... right? ;)
@ Jayem: Well, it's RMD we are talking about alright. I bet you won't get these type of game developers anywhere. They not only make the most interactive games; but they themselves are the most interactive in the forums.
/me waits to see a post of Skaven. *fingers crossed*

You could also look on the member list to see who works with remedy. From there you can see if there online, or you could send them an email message or a private message. I was suprised how many there are already. As of now, this site has been relatively quiet, don't you think. It will get more crowded when we get closer to the release date, though.

I'll drop a brief intro as well. I'm the lead game designer at Remedy. Been here right from the start. After Death Rally I've worked as the project lead on Max Payne, lead game designer on Max2 and as with everyone else in the company, I'm now busting ass to make Alan Wake into the game it deserves to be.
Will try to find time to post here every once in a while. Really glad to see how these forums are starting to shape up. Mad props to ADM for doing such a good job with this site.
And Sam isn't really a forum type, so I'm not sure if he'll end up posting here. I'll give him a nudge though.

Thanks Petri, it's a pleasure running this site :)
But yeah give Sam a nudge, it'd be great to see him on these forums (even if he rarely posts).

Petri, have you guys taken any ideas/inspirations from the wishlist on here? If so, is a large chunk of it going to be implemented? :)

(Old thread, but I've missed this earlier)
Yeah, Peter sits right down the hallway. His kung-fu with sound/animation/particles/art/modeling/textures/andwhathaveyou is still strong :-)
And well... looks like I wasn't convincing enough to get Sam to post here. Sorry.
We're happy to see anyone from Remedy posting here at all. :D

I've dragged this thread back up in case there are any Remedy staff that want to add further comments. There is also now a list on the first post of all the Remedy staff along with their job titles. So if there are any specific questions, you'll know who is the best person to ask. Just don't go spamming too many inboxes as they probably won't answer any questions about Alan Wake.
If you have questions about Alan Wake itself, they can be added to the Alan Wake FAQ thread: http://www.alanwake.com/forum/showthread.php?t=520

Hey, wanted to post a quick introduction although I've been a member of the site for quite while already (I'll try to post a bit more regularly from now on).
I'm one of the founders of Remedy, and I was also starting up Futuremark 1997-2001 where I led quite a few projects including 3DMark99-2000 and worked as CTO for 2001. While my involvement with Max1 was fairly light, I was the project lead for Max2. Now my title is "Director of Development", and what I do daily ranges a lot from presenting at IDF (as many of you surely saw) to making sure daily development processes roll smoothly.

Nicely done presentation at IDF way back when as well as to your partner who was in control of Mr. Wake
Hope we see you soon at a gaming conference or something.
And I think everyone on this forum has seen the IDF presentation at least a million and 25 thousand times.
Keep up the good work guys.

Yeah it's pity, if he's not careful he'll lose the elusive 'Remedy forum mascot' title to Markus. :)
He's still releasing music (http://krakulandia.info/Krakulandia/MMC.html) on a regular basis though.

Yeah, me too -- especially back in the good old days, when working on Katana. I used to refer to his animation work constantly for insipiration and as a benchmark. Never came close, of course. :)

Seriously when I look back now, I was a 'Max Payne-head'. All my friends used to call me 'Max Payne', LOL. Now when I'm a professional, I realize it all started with Max Payne ...... hehhe. :D

Why is it strange? This is THE standard shirt for a videogame action hero!--->

Valve and Bethesda have always been fairly open to discussing things with the fans, too. I think Gearbox and Obisidian also keep a fairly open dialogue with their communities.

Lionhead Studios is also very active with their community members. Programmers, Artists, etc. talk with fans just like Remedy does. It's awsome to see a fairly large company still stay close to its roots and to the people that matter the most to a video game company, the fans! :)
