Is there any word how the gameplay will be in AW, will it be Mx Payne style, or like a Silent Hill type thing?

Also, just how free-roaming will the game be?

If anyone has any word that would be nice.

I'm not sure but I think it will be more like Silent Hill than Max Payne.

Nothing is known about the gameplay except for the fact it'll be free-roaming. You are able to go anywhere you want (though only certain sections of the world are open at the start, more unlock as you complete missions) and do any missions whenever you want.

Man, this game sounds awsome! I'm just hoping the camera is a good 3rd person view like Max Payne. Silent Hill games' become hard to control and see what's going on.

Thanks for the replies. :)

That's half the fun. The odd camera angles help to contribute to the overall atmosphere of the games. I don't mind it, makes things a little more scarier.

Although a free roaming world sounds freakin' awesome! I can't wait for this game. But in this case, I agree with Blind, I want a good 3rd person cam for this, and even perhaps an optional 1st person, so we can toggle back and forth as we wish...

I agree with the camera angle helping the "feel" of the game, but in the Silent Hill games I've played everything feels confined and small with not much free roaming. If I'm gonna be able to walk around an open ended area and explore, I want to be able to look around and move the camera.

Yes, that's where I was agreeing with you. In a small exploration area like Silent Hill, the odd angles help the game. But in a free roaming enviroment like Alan Wake, a crisp, clear angle is a lot better of an option, certainly more desireable. :)

free-roaming -style is good but, i still wonder what kind will been the action/battle-system.
it must be something new and great.Or why Remedy don't tell it more information?
