Excellent work Remedy.....I have some questions

I am new to these forums but I must say that Alan Wake looks to be very interesting. I just had a few questions for anyone to answer or guess:

Are you required at any time venture out into the wilderness?
Do you have to camp when you get tired (tent & fire type of camp)?
Are there going to be items to collect all over the game world?
If travel is allowed in the wilderness, are there other locations to see (ghost towns, abandoned mining complexes, mine shafts)?
Are there vehicles like 4 wheelers or other types to use to travel?

All in all I am greatly impressed with the game as it appears so far. I think the possibility of having an npc tell you a story of rumored items hiding deep in the forest, then having to travel far distances, while navigating rough terrain to retrieve them is intriguing. I think that type of travel and doing things like camping when your character gets exhausted would be awesome. They could use the sleep as a save point and have the speed-up time effect where clouds and shadows pass over quickly as you sleep till dawn. I am very excited for this game....its the type of game I have envisioned playing since I first got into gaming.

Anyways.....any thoughts?

I realize it is not an rpg but it is striving for realism hence my suggesting of being able to tote some camping supplies along with you. In regards to item hunting; it was more of suggestion for replay value....like hidden extras. Why have all that land if you can't go hiking and do some Indiana Jones style exploring. Just a thought.

I also would like some addl. scenery like abandoned mining facilities or ghost town just for the exploration aspect....not to find new enemies or anything but just to examine them. It's a cool feeling to go out and find something you weren't expecting....again just my inner history/treasure hunter coming out.

Yes but it also isnt a complete FPS, so who knows what itll be like?

A TPS adventure? It's like with Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Only, they're trying for Action Thriller, and not horror. Perhaps more like Resident Evil then... I just hope they do better than R.E. has done so far.
