I was thinking about starting my own Alan Wake website. I was wondering a few things though.

(1) I noticed the Graphic contest that awards a t-shirt. As I looked through the banners, I came upon one by Atoman. I thought this banner was perfect for an Alan Wake website. I was just wondering if you, Atoman, had any tips for making an Alan Wake banner. I have made many attempts at Alan Wake banners, and none of them looked good to me.

(2) If and when I make an Alan Wake website, I was wondering if AlanWAKE.net would affiliate with it.

That is really all of the questions I have at the moment. And sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I just assumed this forum was the right one.

The banner (http://www.alanwake.net/vb/attachments/103-banner-1-in-context.jpg?d=1120198587).

Of course AlanWAKE.net would affiliate with you, we like to support all fansites.

Just one word of caution: expect minimal internet traffic.
These are the OFFICIAL forums for Alan Wake and at any one time, you can only expect about three people on the forums at a time. Once the game is close to release, then we will see some action, but until then I wouldn't be expecting a lot of activity.

Yeah, morry might be right!
But If it's a project well achieve and with a nice layout, etc... It might get alot of visits

Yeah, I know to not expect much traffic. Not too many game fansites do nowadays. One more question though, Does I have to have a domain name to affiliate? Because I just purchased a few domain names for some other projects I am working on and do not have the cash to buy another at the moment.

No no domain name is really needed, it can be a sub-domain or even folder off another one.

heh. I'm also considering a full on fansite for AW. I'd really like to, but I might not because of the minimal traffic I'd receive.

You should do it just for the love of the game and not really the amount of traffic it could receive.

If you think you can offer something new then I really suggest you go ahead with it :)

I'll think about it.

It's just that there's no multiplayer mode (?) and unless there are sequels it will die.

OK I've registered a domain- won't say what it is yet.

This one's going to be the best :)

I'll say more later :P

Remedy have said awhile ago that they would like to do sequels to the game in the form of "seasons", like a TV season. Alan Wake 1 would be the first season in the story.

That would be awesome.

OK I'm working the site now.

I'll need some community assistance in the near future.

I'll get suggestions too.

When you launch it be sure to post a topic in here about it, people will be more then willing to assist you with it :)
