View Full Version : A problem accessing the DLC (or I'm just retarded)

I bought the game (Xbox 360 version), preowned, played it (was fun) then noticed that it came with a code. It worked (for some reason the previous owner didnt use it) and I downloaded the DLC. Now (EDIT: A couple of days later) I'm trying to actually play the DLC, I've checked the Downloadable content menu, the Episodes menu amd I tried finishing the game again to see if it would continue on to the DLC. None of this worked, am I doing it wrong or...?

EDIT No. 2: Also, I can't find the DLC in the marketplace to make sure its downloaded, the first time I got it I just used the Redeem Code function, whoich isn't working now cause I already used the code.

Welcome to the forums M. Blooper.

The first DLC will be released on July 27, so you will be able to locate the full download on that date.
I think the unlock code just gives you a short preview of something like that.

everthing s fine. you just unlocked a video that is a secret documentary. As an introduction you get a message that explain that a mail you will be sent in due time with another code to get the free dlc. All in July.

Really any need for that? Look on facebook, loadsof people have made the same mistake.

And actually by the sounds of the video you guys got in the place of it, Microsoft was expecting it. I dont think they were expecting some people to try and reuse the codes and actually have it work after it invalidated it.

I bought my xbox and it came with and alan wake full game download. I tried to download and it started to download, however after a while the download failed. I checked my download history and it would not appear there either. I tried to download it again but it told me the code had already been used?help?

It should appear in your purchase history. You can access the history by pressing the guide button on your xbox controller and then going to Settings -> Account Management -> Download History. There you will see Alan Wake and you will be able to redownload that way.

If you don't see it there then you will need to call up Xbox Live Support.
