I'm just looking forward to Extraction Point which is the expansion to F.E.A.R.
Just found out my friend from the Max Payne community (StratonAce for those who were there :)) is working on that game.
He works at Timegate.
I've got a lot of confidence now in that game.

Maddie, your PC (the last you gave your specs) couldnt run FEAR at anywere near a decent framerate :( sorry.
I heard that Lionhead has haulted production on BC, probabily for financial reasons. I really hope they have revived the project because it sounded/looked really cool.

Rumors are, that they started development of B.C. again for the 360. I hopes we know more when Peter Molyneux from Lionhead shows off their games at MS' pre-e3.

Erm, true, but PCs can be upgraded. :)
By checking it out, I meant checking out the screens and media for the time being. Strat had quite a distinctive mapping style, I'd love to see if it translates to commercial games.

Hmm im not at all excited. We saw a 2 minute video of some desert dust and masterchief in his armor holding a gun WOW .. There were no gameplay video, well actually there was nothing new...
So the title was just officially announced, thats pretty much what we saw.
But then again did you guys see Gears of War ( Unreal engine demo). :hyper:

I thought the trailer for Halo 3 was EEERRRAAAPEEEE. I didnt expect gameplay or anything like that, because it was the same way with Halo 2.
I saw the GoW demo yesterday, but the video was insanely low-res.
Same here, saw it too, but I skipped over it after a while to see the stuff on AW and Crysis. :)

hey gaups the B.C game you are talking about, is it like this free roaming dinosaur game or something along those lines because i remember that game and it was suppose to come out like 3 years ago, like the 2nd wave of Xbox titles.

Yes, B.C. was in production for the Xbox, it was shown at E3 2002 with a estimated release in 2005, but they decided to suspend the game and hopefully they will bring it back in development for the Xbox 360.
It's a 3rd person action/adventure game with free-roaming, where you control a tribe, which you have to keep from extinction and you need to evolve. So you'd have to battle against prehistoric creatures, explore and exploit the vast environments and discover and use new technology and knowledge. For instance: If you are battling against a superior tribe, you can kill the small creatures surrounding this tribe, to make the bigger creatures attack the tribe for food. Exploit the natural food chain.
All creatures, including the humans, are individuals that responds to the situations they face. So just because one person learns a skill doesn't automaticly mean that every person in your tribe know the skill.
You can make you tribe become cannibals, you can be in a situation where one of the other tribes are cannibals. And like in Alan Wake there's a day/night cycle, where every creature has it's own nature, some creatures are nocturnal. You can't domesticate creatures, but you can capture some and feed them until they are ready to be eaten, or they are so big that they will eat you :)
It was a pretty advanced game for it's time, it was a game where you didn't have to follow missions, it had very big landscapes, it had a living eco-system, you could carry water, some things floated on water and could be used as a vessel. They made a trap-system, where you could do almost anything except you couldn't digg (this wasn't included in the game engine).
They even had plans for online gameplay in B.C. 2.
I was really hook in this game back when the first information about it was revealed, and I'm still hoping that they will announce it for the 360. ;)

Just found a little bit of information just know regarding B.C.. When Microsoft bought Lionhead many gaming sites said that it's pretty certain that we'll see B.C. on the 360. Originally the first B.C. without online should have been released for the Xbox in 2005 and a sequel with onlinegaming was planned for the Xbox 360. Now, according to the rumors, Lionhead are melting the two games together as one for a 360 release. I'm really looking forward to hearing some information about this game.
oh, and I also found this in a interview from today with Molyneux, head of Lionhead Games.
Kikizo: Can we expect projects like BC coming back, or...?
Molyneux: Uh, we're definitely not saying what the second title is... and um, you know, no hints allowed. But I thought BC was a fantastic world, I loved the idea of being in this savage, brutal environment, and, um, who knows? It's on the shelf, and it's not being ripped up and thrown away, and I definitely can't say more than that.
While another gamesite, also states it's coming and will introduce "Groundbreakingly realistic fire"

I thought BC was balls-to-the-walls awesome. I was looking so forward to it, and when they cancelled production, I kinda felt betrayed. But hearing that it might be getting in development for the 360, which is vastly more powerful, offering more possibilities, I can't say im too angry.
I believe I have a OXM with preview screens of BC, id be glad to post some pics if I find the magazine.

Is this preview from '06? Or is it from the old days, before the game got suspended?

Rumors about B.C. are surfacing again. This time they are stating that B.C. will be revealed at Microsoft's X06 some time this fall. I still hope it's true, 'cause I'm really looking forward to this game.

For the Xbox 911.
But realistcly, it should come out in the next few years....if they are working on it.
Their last game, The Movies, was freakin awesome. BW2 was a letdown but The Movies was addicting as all hell. There was always somthing to do and the custom movie making tools were quick and easy to learn. I really wish it had sold more so my friend could get it on the xbox. But as it is, the console versions were cancelled due to low sales.
