Well it's 26. Where are the news?
They said in a day or two or perhaps three or four from the 25th.. and the way Sami worded it it's looks like Microsoft is going to handle the release of it, so I don't think even Remedy knows for sure.

When it comes to the question of new Alan Wake info - don't give up just yet. We're not quite done yet for this PR round...

Anyone dare to make wild guesses on what might still be coming up?

Perhaps next week we'll know more... :)

I would hope for a playable demo but i'm not gonna hold my breath for that. Honestly, a nice long trailer will do me just fine.

Guys, admit it. We don't really care about the info. All we care about is when we will be able to play it :)

guaps

We do care about info :D Personally, I'd like to see some sort of gameplay to get a feel of the atmosphere Remedy is trying to create.

And about the release date, I don't really care when it is, as long as it's not before the game is perfect.

I think we can expect Remedy to work on Alan Wake until they deem it complete themselves. My only concern would be Microsoft trying to push the game out the door for a Vista release date.

New information is always a good thing to have, though there is always the case of being too informed so that the game is entirely predictable. I know in my case, I'm going to know everything about the game (that they have told us) when it is released, so I'm hoping Remedy stay quiet on the best bits.

That's exactly what I don't want to, so that I get a full experience when I play it. ;)

I wouldn't be concerned at all, I doubt that Remedy would MS let spoil the game...

Good point, that is exactly why I prefer to be uninformed :)

No. They are not quite done yet. I still think Remedy will release a new trailer based on the demo they showcased to the journalists.

That's the most logical explanation of a hint "info probably next week". Articles are comparatively insignificant bits of info to be to teased/hyped personally by Remedy ;) So I have a strong feeling Remedy will repeat the pattern from the last year: first they demoed Alan Wake to the press, then several weeks later they released this brilliant Alan Wake 2005 trailer :)

By the way, technically this week is still not over :) Though most likely it takes more time than planed to convert the demo into a high quality inspiring trailer.

If so, this trailer probably will be the last in the series before the actual release of the game...

I think there was supposed to be a 1up.com article, at least based on this post (http://boards.1up.com/zd/board/message?board.id=general&message.id=318428) on the 1up message boards. It didn't come this week so I hope it will be out early next week.

For all of those fluent with Italian language, there's an article on the X06 demo here (and no, I don't speak Italian, but it does seem to have quite many exclamation marks and words like "prima!" in there).

Don't understand that article, but love the screenshots :D

I'm absolutely loving the volumetric lighting!! Can't wait to see it in real time. Prima!!!

The original Xbox had a groundbreaking game called Halo, that changed the way we played games. Xbox 360 will have Alan Wake :D

Anyone want to take a stab at translating the following?

Most Wanted

Im Italian so i try and translate it, even though my english isnt perfect:
Alan Wake is supposed to be one of the most promising game of this year. Its really a magnificent game, under every points of view. Besides, the entire area of the game can be explored, giving to the player a wide choice of places to reach. Anyway, even though the game offers this kind of open world, Alan Wake has a main story that u have to follow, that will evolve everytime u complete a mission.

I get this:
Alan Wake beginning right now has entered of right in the list of the titles them more promising of the next year. It is truly magnificent, under every point of view. Among other things, the entire area of game can be visited centimeter for centimeter, leaving to the player a width chosen on the loghi to catch up. However, also offering this characteristic of open world, Alan Wake it has however a main weft to respect, that evolverà every which time will have exceeded a objective.

What will be the games Minimum and absolute Top line systems for enjoying the game on a PC?

The game, in my guesstimation, is at least 6-12 months away - not even the devs know to what extent they can optimise yet.
