Taken bend the rules! (when it comes to flares!)

Frigging Taken now can attack you and by even a simple push (which is not even a proper attack and don't diminish your health by even a pixel) IGNORING the fact you've just taken the flare out! And my brother was a witness! The Taken HASN'T EVEN INITIATED his attacking animation (and I was already holdinf a flare!), I wanted my multiplier to be safe and then something like this...It's already unfair as it is...It didn't at all happen in the original Alan Wake. Is this deliberate or??

Happened many times to me too.

I guess we'll just have to deal with it.

You mean the little push they do when theres a light on them? That was in AW 1 as well. I didnt know they could do it in flare light.

Well, I think The Taken flat-out hit me that time actually, but it's actually not important, what's important is that he attacked me despite me having taken (sic) out the flare. They shouldn't do anything to you in a flare light. Or mabye it was deliberately changed this time around.

The flare causes them to back up slowly to avoid the strong light so i think this may have been a bug of some sort.

I've never experienced this problem.

Well, it can sometimes happen if one of the bigger Takens start charging against you while you have a flare in the ground next to you.

There are a few things that make you think that the fighting system is not fair at some times. Especially the horde mode makes this more obvious than in the original alan wake because you only had to fear for your live and not for your multiplier as well :)

If a big Taken charges at you then he will be able to hit you through the light.

whats more annoying is that the grenadiers can throw darkness nades into the flare making using a flare useless if there is a grenadier around
