observatory issue

alright i have been playing this for a little bit and i was told to get the imaging lens for the telescope, i installed it but everytime i restart from the last checkpoint, the same thing happens. absolutely nothing. i installed it and went back to the floor but nothing happens at all, elevator to the room where that lady was is up and wont come back down and she doesnt say anything to alan while im just standing here. has anyone else had this issue or knows how to fix it? thanks in advance

This I have never expierenced this but but I would say to delete the game from your hard drive and re-download it from the marketplace again. Hope this helps! :)
