View Full Version : Why I love this community. (Even though I've only been here for 5 days)

I made this thread to show my love for this community that I have grown to love more than others. A few reasons would be that the amount of ease of access. When I first made my account for the Alan Wake forums I did not know what to expect since I would be the first of my friends to do so and in turn I would not have any prior knowledge of what to expect. I was surprised to find how easy it was to make an account and jump into the forums and introduce myself with the Introduction thread that was made for well...introducing. I felt at home after poking around seeing how friendly this community is and how much Remedy responds to user feedback and questions. Since my first day making an account I have created 3 threads (this being my 3rd) and one was a question to Remedy and I have never done anything of the sort so I had found myself very surprised to see that a few hours later, I got a response and my question too plus the thread grew a tiny bit. Even though I have only been here for 5 days or so, I find myself constantly keeping a tab open for the forums to see whats new and for me that shows alot. Thank you Alan Wake Community and through the adventures we may have in the future.

Glad you're enjoying yourself! We really try to keep in touch with the audience, so it's great to hear that you feel like that's working out. =)

Mikki, Sam Lake, and PottedPlant all work together on the Alan Wake story.

I think Mikki is being phased out and replaced by PottedPlant. But, then again, I have been wrong before. Actually, I'm usually wrong. Forget I said anything. :nono:

In that case, respect. Alan wake is easily one of the best stories in gaming. Shame a lot of people don't get it...their loss. I thought the credits said story by Sam lake

Sure, Sam came up with the original story concepts ("troubled writer comes to a small town and weird stuff starts to happen with his fiction," essentially), and he worked on it for several years before I came on board, so we felt it was fair to recognize that. But what you see in the game is all stuff we worked up together -- that's why we separated the "story" and "screenplay" credits for Alan Wake, to reflect that.

Good work. Alan wake novel would be good too but the game is most important. :)

There is a novel. It basically just says exactly what happens in the first game though.

Some people here obviously weren't around in some of the 'ZOMG NO PC VERSION' or console war threads. xD

I don't post very frequently however, I can't believe how much interaction we get with the devs.
