Hi everyone! I recently got a copy of Alan Wake and I was so excited to play it. Unfortunately, the game says that my computer is incompatible to play it. I checked my PC specs to confirm this. I used the website Can You Run It? Here's what it says:

All my hardware are compatible to play the game, except the my graphics card, an NVDIA GeForce G105M. I don't really get why it can't run the game. I've already updated my graphics card driver and it still wouldn't run the game at low quality.

I'd appreciate any help! I really want to play this amazing game :) Thanks in advance.

That's kind of weird. This card is roughly the same as the GeForce 8800 GT.

Take a look to those comparisons

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-8800-gt/specifications)

GeForce G105M (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/notebook-gpus/geforce-g105m/specifications)

Even though the specs look the same laptop gpus are weaker than desktop ones.If you can upgrade it then go for it.

I think the service has a mistake on G105 - NVIDIA's site says it's a DX10 card and the above says it has SM3 (DX9) support only. But checking on the performance of G105, I don't think the game will run acceptably on it, unfortunately.
