Sam Lake in Max Payne 3

Hey guys. Just completed Max Payne this afternoon. While I found the first half of the game immersive and fun the second half didn't quite play that smooth for me, didn't like how predictable the script became. Anyway...

If you go into Arcade mode and select Old School Max Payne as your player model, you can play as Sam Lake's character model from the original game, but re-modeled to today's standards!

Hearing James McCaffrey's voice over while seeing Sam Lake's face just brought an enormous smile on my face. This is Max as he should be! I'll try to add some screenshots later on.

I wish there was a horde mode or something, in which I could play in New York with Sam Lake's model...

Why oh why did you step down from the throne Mr. Lake? You are my childhood hero!

They need to fix the model so it doesn't show teeth all the time, as well as providing a bit more lighting around the eyes. Other than that, its quite nostalgic :)

I almost think its trying to be humerous - the original face was slightly funny, come on guys. But this is hilarious.

When the face is idle, when it's not trying to play James McCaffrey's facial animations during cutscenes, it looks pretty much like the Sam Lake face when he's fired a shot, the infamous lemon-eating face. But when it does try to play those animations... oh boy...
After Fabiana's death, the first TV you can watch has a drawing of Sam Lake, as Max Payne with the necklace and leather jacket, I can't understand the language but I believe they think he's the suspect or something?

What the hell, you guys get pissed off when we mention things outside spoiler tags, and you get pissed off when we do it within spoiler tags. It's got spoiler written on it, how much more obvious can it be? :D

For what it's worth, Some ***wipe posted that same spoiler on the launch trailer for MP3 a day before the game came out and a lot of unsuspecting users (including me) read it... :(

I believe my XBOX decided to try to fix the lighting on its own with less than stellar results.

Has anyone played Chapter XII in the arcade mode using the "Old School Max" version?

If so has anyone had this similar occurance on their playthrough...

I think I may have accidently broken him...

It only happens in three specific cutscenes on a certain level. It's quite strange.
