Lost Save Game?

Last night i played up to Episode 6. Today i started a new game to show my girlfriend, and there was no warning of it overwriting the previous save. Now i've gone to load up my episode 6 save and the only one there is the new one i started today.

There's clearly slots for more than one save, so what's happened?
Anyone know how i can get the save back?

The game autosaves so I guess it just uses the one slot. If that is the case the game should really warn you about over writing

But there's a 1. in front of the save file so this indicates that it's possible to have more than one. Also they stated the saves would be saved to steam cloud and also to the computer in the remedy folder in my documents but theres no sign of saves in there.

The game has only one save slot (for now). The episode chapter that you reached should be available in the Episodes menu.
