Dark Poem

Ten Thousand Blue Skies
Air raid sirens are symphonies of hate and greed, they are the screeching of humanity on the edge of extinction
Every poem, every concerto, every painting and sculpture will all be flames
When the nuclear bombs are on the way grab the sky and turn it upside down
Kill your own children
Watch as your mother rips out her body organs one by one and places them into your own hands
Eat the furniture in your room
Swallow cyanide with your loved one
Begin masturbating
Swallow your own body
Swallow your family
Think of the human race drowning and there are no lifeboats
Explain to your children what nuclear war means, tell them they have ten minutes to live
Try to write a poem that no one will ever read in the remaining nine minutes
Pray to a god that can not exist
Pray for mercy that will not come

That's the most graphic and scary poem I've ever read. Very good, but I think it gets a bit our of control. Maybe less gore and masturbation. But overall pretty creative.

Doesn't seem too mainstream. Although I liked the "eat the furniture in your room" part. If I happen to move into a completely empty apartment, I'm gonna put a pie on the floor and try that.

IMO. I think the poem should be bublished in some sort of newspaper no matter what people would say about it. It has the same cold brutality as the real world has.
The poem reminded me of what germany might have been like for many people in late '45 and what happened in Hiroshima.

It was grim. I liked it. It was inspirational, so I wanted to write a poem based on it.
here it is:

the human race is drowning in filth
so baby, lets run on the pastures on the sun
no need for guns and fists
just you and me in eternal bliss
lets run till the sun goes down
then bathe in the skies
while the human race is dying of its lies
