Square Enix Vs Eidos?

Clicky.

Bid backed by Warner.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this, Eidos' games have always been high on my list of games to buy, so have Square's, but I'm not convinced that I would like the changes that may come to some of my favourites series' with Square behind the driving machine of them. Thoughts?

If only *you* could see what *I've* seen with your eyes. ;)

My name has very little to do with Enix or Square Enix...just to clear that up. That's my only thought on this for the moment.

I highly doubt much is going to change. Square Enix are just going to be publishing the games Eidos makes. Eidos are still going to be making the games.

Or at least so I believe.

Re: Square Enix Vs Eidos?

If that's the case I'm all for it. Eidos have been struggling for a long time, despite making some really nice games, and some very promising franchises, and decent sales, too. I absolutely adore the new Tombraider Underworld. I hope it is like you say, because the thought of having Eidos on the loose with a little more breathing room in the financial department is ntohing but a good thing. I'll probably update this thread as I hear more.
