I've been hunting around a lot of online stores like Play, Amazon and HMV and both the individual and collector's version of the game are the same price?. Is this price locked? If so then that's a pretty cheap collector's edition, which is definitly worth the price.

Technically, in US dollars, the Collector's edition is $20 more. I dunno about other currencies, but that would be amazing if in some countries it were the same. We Americans would be screwed XD

I'd just expect that they haven't received the proper pricing structure from Microsoft yet. No idea why they would price them the same, you could always try pre-order it now and see if you get it at that price.

Though pre-order prices can change and they usually notify you of the change and if you wish to keep the pre-order in or retract it due to the price increase.

It's been recently brought to my attention that Alan Wake has a collector's edition being released, is there any knowledge whether or not Gamestop will be releasing it? Or will it simply hold the normal Alan Wake?

I just preordered it from amazon, hope it stays at £40ish, thats a bargain for the limited edition in my opinion! I'm going to get this edition regardless if the price increases, this game just looks amazing, I can't wait for release! :-)

I would just like to say well done for the limited edition remedy, it's fantastic, love the book case idea, the contents, the bonus disc and the soundtrack! It's an all round very desirable package with no gimmicks (e.g.flashlight), everything inside seems very appropriate! Oh and of course the DLC's a good idea too! :-D Thanks again!

Just wait a while. British pricing tends to fall short against American pricing - which is why i often buy expensive stuff from America!
