Have you tried playing and AW clips on you 32 inch? If not then see if it still looks just as good as on the videos

It's bigger than the difference between 720p and 540p, so if Wake looks worse because of it SUPPOSEDLY being 540p, then Perfect Dark XBLA and Lair are two of the best looking games this gen at 1080p. Sounds kinda stupid when you read that and think about it.

I have to admit, that until i see the game runing on my TV, i cant be 100% sure will not look stunning, so i guess i have been overreacting a bit

You see i was so disapointed that Fable 2, my most wanted game on 360 back then was ot crisp clear, now my 2ond most wanted (or third after Fable 3 anyway) game turns out same

Anyway, i will be able to handle it i guess

From the previews that I've read, the game looks fantastic. Some of the best graphics on the 360. Honestly, what other games are coming out for the 360 that look this good? The lighting, art style and atmosphere in this game is INSANE. IN-FREAKING-SANE! If you didn't have someone guesstimating the resolution, you wouldn't even know, care or notice. Don't want to buy this game because of resolution? Your loss, you miss out on something special.

Ya know what's really odd about this. A TON of peopel, including almost every major game site has actually played this hands on...and nowhere have we seen anyone having issues like the ones you seem to think it will have, Labwarrior. Even someone on Neogaf that played it said it looked fantastic and didn't notice any issues.

SO one of two things:

It's 540p and upscales so well you won't really notice(since no professionals noticed playin it on HDTV's)

or

it's 720p and this pixel counter is using bad source material.(seems more likely)

Maybe they change the resolution from time to time based on the scene's complexity, or maybe they render the 3D world in 540p and then add post-processing in 720p? Maybe they intentionally blur the scene in some points to make it "foggy"? It could be something really absurd, but it doesn't have to include Remedy with some strange conspiracy.

Probably the same with FF13. 576p in-game but 720p for cutscenes (unfortunately, the FMVs also turned out to be 576p), but something like that IF this is true.

Exactly, so even if the pixel counters are right, you still can't use those photos to say it's going to look like that since they are still compressed to crap and whatnot. Everyone that has played it says it looks fantastic. The guy on neogaf that played it said in responde to it possibly being 540p "You could have fooled me".

SO wether it's 540p or 720p doesn't matter, it's still one of the best looking games this gen so say people that have actually played it.

Is Bioshock 2 576p? If it is, it still looked pretty darn good on my 135" screen. Alan Wake's visuals are superior if you compare, I can't imagine how good it will look even _if_ it will be 576p. I don't give a shit which one it is!

I'm sure not many people could even tell the difference until you have two screens next to each other with exact picture, and even then the difference is minimal.

the first bioshock was 680p on PS3, 720p on 360. BS2 is 720p on both.

Okey, well I gotta say I didn't like Fable 2 graphics. But what it comes to COD4, where on earth did you get an idea it is blurry or fuzzy. It must be one of the "sharpesst" games I've played. And I like the graphics, very sophisticated indeed.

That article says, simply put, that upscaling from a lower res results into better pixel usage than upscaling from a higher res. Less pixels will be lost. But I doubt that it's true, becouse I don't think a 540p native game can look better than a 720p native one.
