You mean Old Gods of Asgard song
It contains story spoilers, but it'll find its way online at some point in the future. Not just yet.

Markus, how big are the spoilers in The Poet and the Muse? Is it something very serious or maybe some minor spoilers, not giving too much away? I'm dying to listen this song, people that played the game say that this song is amazing.

Awesome, thanks for the info, haven't reached the credits yet (just finished episode 4 last night... now I have to wait for nightfall again to play ).

EDIT: Found both songs on YouTube, who wants to listen to it -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwV0jMmvtt0 <- Children of the Elder God
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOxSq...watch_response <- Poet and the muse

God it's awesome

Well, it's much better if you first hear Poet and the muse in the context of the game. It has definitive spoilers in the lyrics.

If that ain't the truth... Awesome stuff.

By the way, regarding "Haunted" by Poe... You guys got that from Blair Witch 2: Book of Shadows, right? No way that's mere coincidence. 5 years ago, when I first watched that movie and heard that song during the ending credits as the camera panned over the woods, I knew I just had to have it. I grinned ear to ear when I heard that song at the end of the second episode. An inspired choice, and like everything in the soundtrack, it fits Alan Wake like a glove.

No, you have heard two more. You just haven't noticed them it would seem.

I am extremely glad to report that our taste in and knowledge of music is not, in fact, determined by Blair Witch 2. =)

I'm very much relieved by that comment. ;-) I've seen it two times, and that's two times too many, let me tell you. Still, I find it striking that you were able to take the one good thing about that movie and find a place for it in Alan Wake (presumably even without being aware of the similarities). I remember thinking a while before the game released how that song would be the perfect fit for a game like Alan Wake, and lo and behold, it made it in.

The soundtrack was the only thing remotely good about the film though. Queens Of The Stone Age, wooh!
