Hey guys,

Let me just snip this one in the bud before everybody gets all excited: I know this Eurogamer article claims that we're doing one, but it's a misunderstanding: Matias is talking about "The Writer," our second DLC pack, when he says there'll be a further one out this year, not about a third pack. Apparently they thought he was talking about a completely new DLC thing.

Of course, it's not inconceivable that there could be more than just two -- that'll probably have a lot to do with how the first two do, among other things -- but let me reiterate we're not working on anything like that right now. It's just a simple misunderstanding!

OFC your going to do a third dlc and a second AW

Its the biggest game produced by remedy and it is a massive success! Yer ok sales might not reflect it but rental charts fly it to the top.... its a new series, people are wary of it and dnt wana spend £40 on a game like that when they can rent it for £7. Alan wake 2 will be a massive succes now people know what a great game it is.

I completly love this game, i beg you to do a third DLC and a second game

Like I said, I'm not saying there won't be any more Alan Wake beyond the second DLC episode, I'm just saying that you're not gonna see a third DLC pack this fall, despite what the Eurogamer article says. They've been mistaken. I'm just trying to make sure you guys don't get misled.

Tbh I never believe anything a gaming site says until the developer/publisher release an official statement. I respect though that Remedy have came out and killed the rumour before it got majorly out there and everyone starts to expect it and makes Remedy look bad for "promising" something that they never said would exist. I'm really looking forward to the DLC and continuing the Alan Wake story. I really hope the DLC lives up to the standards of the main game with a few improvements.

I am personally happy with the announcements that are out there right now... the third DLC "announcement" caught me by surprise on vg247. I only start to get antsy when I don't hear more information for a few weeks after something is supposedly going to be announced (Mass Effect).

Well if you remember correctly it was Microsoft who announced it would be an Xbox 360 exclusive. What makes you think Remedy weren't happy at the fact the game would be exclusive to the one platform. I'm pretty sure its in Microsoft's hands which platform it appears on due to them publishing it. Then again I'm not 100% on the situation with who decided on which, I'll just go by the statements released which is all we have to go by on unless someone at Remedy would like to expand?

We're not planning to do that, but we're not planning NOT to do that, either, so it might happen. I'm not making those decisions, but I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with how popular they prove to be.

i think this is actually good. i just beat the writer a few days ago, and i think the ending was the perfect spot to wait for alan wake 2. still, make sure everybody keeps there alan wake disc and the dlc. by the time alan wake 3 comes out, you might just be like "wait, what the heck is "bright falls". the way i look at it, its like stephen king's "the stand" in it movie form. the book was like 2000 pages, so the movie was like 4 parts long and almost 8 hours alltogether, so make sure you keep "alan wake, part 1". i hope my dog doesnt eat mine=(

I understand Noninnyo's worries and question about this. He meant the fact of how EPIC ditched some of the regions with the locked contents and released them with the DVD.

Not to mention the mistrust at the VC...

There isn't any DLC that is free...the Webisode "Oh deer" and the Trailer launch are free...but "The Signal" and "The Writer" are both 560 points each...

Actually, the Signal was given as a free code with any newly purchased copy of Alan Wake.
