Annoying corrupted DLC issue and Option Menu typo
Greetings everyone,
I'm experiencing some issues with the DLC. I booted up Alan Wake today and got this pop-up message: "The following Downloadable Content Package(s) was corrupted and could not be loaded: Special Feature 1: The Signal, Special Feature 2: The Writer." I went back to the dashboard, deleted both episodes from my harddrive and downloaded them again. Turned off my console, turned it back on, started Alan Wake and got the same message again... Repeated this process two more times and I still get the pop-up. Then I cleared my system cache, deleted the full Alan Wake game from my harddrive together with both DLC's. Installed Alan Wake again and afterwards I downloaded both Chapters seperately. First The Signal, then booted up Alan Wake; no pop-up. Then The Writer, booted up Alan Wake; pop-up returned stating that both DLC's are corrupted. Any help would be appreciated, please! Also, here's a smaller issue: When going to Options and selecting Brightness I see a typo: "Move the slider to adjust the brightness of your screen. Only the the text in the two lower boxes should be visible." ... the the ... ![]() EDIT: Another issue: I can't select 'Storage Device' in the Options menu even though I have a 250gig HDD and a 4gig internal HDD (just bought a brand new matte black Xbox 360S, PAL version)

Re: DLC and a typo
So apparently this lad experienced the same thing and a heads-up was posted as well.
After a bit of digging I found out that transferring the licenses should fix this issue. Problem is: I bought a shiny 360S a while back and already used the license transfer back then so now, according to xbox.com/drm, I have to wait until 16/07/2011 to be able to use the transfer again. So I can't even play my DLC that comes with my game using my account on my xbox? "You see it too? For me, it's always like this..." (Angela Orosco - Silent Hill 2) |

Re: DLC and a typo
If you call up Xbox Live support they will be able to reset the block for you so you can transfer your licenses. I had the same issue myself and they helped me out.
They should also be able to assist you with the storage option problem. As for the typo; Oops! Thanks for pointing it out, i'll report it on. |

Re: DLC and a typo
Typo report?
I would guess a manuscript page is probably impossible to change, but, in case it matters, one of the manuscript pages has a typo. Sorry I don't remember which one. It's "thought", "though", or "through". Sorry I can't be more specific. I think the page says "though" instead of "through". Not positive.

Re: DLC and a typo
Called support a few hours ago and they will be transferring all of my licenses to my current console tonight. Hopefully that will solve the problem.
Will confirm later. "You see it too? For me, it's always like this..." (Angela Orosco - Silent Hill 2) |

Re: DLC and a typo
All licenses were transferred to my new console, DLC episodes are fully playable again.
Thanks again for helping out, ADM. "You see it too? For me, it's always like this..." (Angela Orosco - Silent Hill 2) |
