  • Collectables

So I'm certain everyone remembers the massive amount of collectables throughout the original Alan Wake (manuscript pages, coffee thermoses, video games, clocks, cut-outs, etc.), and I'm wondering, can we expect a lot of that sort of content on this game as well? It gave a large reason to replay and explore in nooks and crannies you'd otherwise overlook, and I'm really hoping for more of that style.

Manuscript pages are back not sure about the others or something new.

      Re: Collectables

(I hope I don't answer too much with this...) There's radio stations, televisions, manuscript pages, and guns. Radio stations and Manuscript pages you can read/listen to again on your collectibles screen (as well as cutscenes), but not televisions I don't believe. Collecting Manuscript pages also unlocks guns when you obtain a certain amount of them.
Sometimes the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Let's hope there are no thermoses or other useless stuff just for the sake of it. Manuscripts, radio shows, tv-shows and signs were great because they were actually interesting and therefore nice to search and find.

Thermos was ok but it would have been better if the stats page showed how many you had found in each chapter [for example it could say 12/14 in chapter 1]

You THINK that the thermoses are useless collectables.Well, we'll see in the future of the franchise where more things we'll be revealed(even though my opinion is that we've seen all of Wake's story in the game and the DLC's) that it's quite the opposite of useless

In one of the demos I saw at CES it was made clear that not only manuscript pages were back but that with enough collectibles, you can access weapons caches. No idea if they changed it for the full version though.
