A lot of action, good story, great graphics, this style, few bugs fixed.
But I'm fully confident Remedy will do all of those!

Less action orientated gameplay and a much longer game overall.

        Longer Gameplay
        Thrilling story
        Non-linear game
maybe multiple choices of gameplay flow like DeusEx (One can wonder and dream )

Nice use of a physics engine (rope physics, colliding bodies...). Proper water, where you won't "fall" through it (as there seems to be a water in the game). And everything HP said
"All those who gain power are afraid to lose it."

            Liquid Physics
Multiplayer (of some kind.. this will definitely help boost the life of the game)
Mod Tools (I'll be dissapointed if mod tools arn't released given how (fairly) sucessful the MP community is).

Re: Alan Wake wishlist - What would you like to see?

If the game is as action-packed as MP's were, I'd like to see _real_ physics, and not the toy-ones in Max 2. It was awful to look how the bodies ect flew around headlessly. Some mods have tried to improve that but it still looks kinda "planted in the game last second".
The character details is not the main thing you should concentrate, the characters were quite neat in mp/mp2 (at the time), but they are still not the main point. Of course cool appearance is always thumbs up, but when did you actually ever looked at max's face (or any character)? Yep, only the first time you saw them. (Same thing goes for weapons ect, they look cool in screenshots when game is not yet published, but...)

What else.. hmm.. lot's and lot's of small ambience items/animals/objects ect, they make world more life-like.

Yeah I'd love to see lots of birds and animals around the place.. makes a whole difference.

In my opinion, Max 2 still has one of the best ragdolls.

I would love if the game had a really creepy atmosphere. places where you hold your breath because you fear the next corner

This might be a mix of Silent Hill and Max Payne
