    Version 0.8 BETA

    Hi,

    I'm now releasing a beta version of this skin I have been making for a while. It should be completely stable, I'm just looking for more ideas to add to this or what I should change.

    All Light up when you hover over, Just like in game - Example:

    The minimap is explained in the image above. As for the weapon select huds, there is more to allot of them. A few of them have extra settings which you can find in the settings file.

    What the settings file looks like:

    Code:
    [Rainmeter]
    // Click sound, Add // to dissable
    LeftMouseUpAction=PLAY #@#click.wav

    // Mouse action to open this file of any Alan wake skin - add // to dissable any or all, remove // to enable.
    MiddleMouseDownAction=["#@#Veriables.inc"]
    //LeftMouseDoubleClickAction=["#@#Veriables.inc"]
    //MiddleMouseDoubleClickAction=["#@#Veriables.inc"]

    [Variables]

              Thanks, Glad some people are enjoying it. I'm still looking for ideas ETC, For extra parts.

              Also thinking of starting a AWAN version, But I'm crap when it comes down to the art side (Note the bad flash light icons in this one :/) Also it comes down to download numbers aswell, To see if its even worth it. So far 29 people downloaded 0.8 Beta version and 8 people Upgraded/Downloaded V1.0.

              I cant force a mouse icon with this, And I wouldn't have the skills to make one from scratch, Just a copy/pasta from the game :/

                  I grabbed it. (have you considered updating the original post with the latest info? just curious)

                  I'm surprised more people didn't download it. I've been meaning to get Rainmeter, but there just hasn't been a game worthy of it though. Then along comes Alan Wake. And your mod.

                  Thanks!!

                  And include some instructions for us newbies in the .zip. I've been fooling around with the files for 30 minutes now and haven't figured out where they go. I know, sad, but true.

                  Finally got it, took forever. I was putting all the SKINS stuff into my Rainmeter folder, and it was actually supposed to go into my My Documents folder and then the Rainmeter subfolder of that one. I finally got the help/Welcome screen open for your Alan Wake skin, and it said something like "..it should have opened a Variables.inc file" and if I have to manually do it, it's located in "..@resources". Well, I see the folder, it looks like it's got stuff in it on my harddrive, but there are no menu options in Rainmeter itself for it. Is that a bug, or an supported feature at this point...what?

                    Remedy have a certain time limit till you cant edit any-more unfortunatly.

                    According to my old download count about 46 people have, Not that bad. And thanks.

                    Also thanks for pointing that out, Uploaded the wrong file by accident lol (that is all the right files though), The real one is an auto install version and launches the Options/help skin on first launch. Fixed it now.

                    You have to manually open it Using note pad (Or notepad++ allot better!) from here "Rainmeter\Skins\AlanWake\@resources\Veriables.inc " (Yes spelt wrong :/, Never bothered to update it)

                      [Variables]

                      // ---- Weather ----
                      // 1 = Dissable --- 0 = Enabled
                      // Weather ID - To get this go here http://www.weather.com/ - Select your country and find your town or closest location E.G

                      // UKXX0126 ^- This -^

                      weatherID=UKXX0126
                      I'm still a tad confused. I can't figure out where this section of code is. It says in the "settings" file. The only settings file I can find is called settings.png, an image file, which is useless for my needs.

                      My hud-03.ini file looks like this, the part that mentions "weather":
                      // ---- Weather ----

                      [MeasureWeather]
                      Measure=Plugin
                      Plugin=Plugins\WebParser.dll
                      UpdateRate=2400
                      Url=http://xml.weather.com/weather/local/#weatherID#?cc=*&unit=#weather.Unit#&dayf=3

                      RegExp="(?siU)<tmp>(.*)</tmp>.*<t>(.*)</t>.*<icon>(.*)</icon>.*<dayf>.*<hi>(.*)</hi>.*<low>(.*)</low>.*<part p="n">.*<t>(.*)</t>.*<day d="1".*<hi>(.*)</hi>.*<low>(.*)</low>.*<t>(.*)</t>.*<day d="2" t="(.*)".*<hi>(.*)</hi>.*<low>(.*)</low>.*<t>(.*)</t>"
                      None of that makes any sense to me. Has something changed between documentation and release? How do I set my Alan Wake Rainmeter theme to show me my local weather? My sleuthing skills are no match for your program...
