It would be good if one of her outfits was like the floating office ladies, so she could float up and remain still, and the enemies wouldn't notice her! She might even be able to telekine objects and attack them without them knowing what is going on. Or she could use mind control to slowly weaken an enemy?

CONTROL is like Psi-Ops on steroids! I hope that when she is controlling other characters, we will have the option to keep the camera on her instead of switching to the other character, so we can see both her subtle movements as she controls the other character, and the other character. This way it will actually feel like she is in control of the character. If the camera just switches to the other character like it did in Psi-Ops, then it will feel like she has moved in to the other character, not so much like she is controlling him.

Interesting video filter used for the official intro episodes of Control - in the game website

It's quite difficult to get into the marketing of this game "outside the box"... Not knowing the context. But because I'm quite seriously interested into any new Remedy project and I check any new game ideas released by Remedy quite periodically... I eventually realized the semi-mysterious concept of this game.

But it takes some effort to get past this cognitive barrier. Especially when the lead character feels like a bland female that has no opinion of her own - at all. Though she is serious, of course.

And short 20 second extracts, as if emphasizing key phrases / ideas of the game, don't work at all. It's better to avoid them. Out of the context. You have to be into this game from the very beginning - ideally in the form of full game trailers.

Besides, the face of the key female character looks very similar to the Remedy narrative lead Anna Megill. Almost the same face

And it's really cool that this game from the very beginning will be launched on Steam! As was indicated by the official video diaries / gameplay trailers.

    Really nice

I will wishlist this game on Steam immediately - when the Steam announcement shows up Currently its not listed. Not yet, of course

I hope Remedy makes another game with a great setting like Alan Wake. That game looked amazing.

Please put some thought on the final Boss fight Remedy, You ruined that entire game of Quantum Break with a terrible un-imaginative boss fight. Please put some imagination, creative challenge in it. Please don't make a boss fight tough for the sake of making it tough, it only makes the boss fight frustrating, make it entertaining. We play games not for getting frustrated, for getting entertainment.

not at all! the oldest house is a transforming, expanding place that is much bigger on the inside than it appears to be on the outside. in the central hub of the building, it appears to be a regular office building that exists in all the expected dimensions, but the further away you move from that and the deeper you go into the house, the stranger it becomes. there will be many different environments.

It didn't look very limiting imo. But we haven't seen much yet.

To me this game seems very much connected to AW universe in a way that QB didn't. Seems much improved over QB in many ways. I really like the artstyle.

I will not be disappointed if it's not related to Alan in anyway. This is just fun for me.
*Puts on nerdy glasses* Weeeeeeell, you might not be entirely wrong. You know that Sam Lake's blog, This House of Dreams, that he wrote connecting to the Alan Wake series. (It also connected to American Nightmare's song, Balance Slays the Demon, which references "it will happen again in a town, a town called Ordinary".) In the blog it introduced the AWE, or an agent of it who wanted to acquire the shoebox that Samantha had in her loft. The name appeared in Quantum Break near Ground Zero on the side of a building. Apparently Gamecrate's recent article on the press demo at E3 mentioned that "Jesse, travels down a large corridor, past rooms containing mysterious 'Objects of Power' and items touched by 'Altered World Events.'" Does anyone else hear The X-Files music playing?

Ok, so if Alan was to write himself back from the Dark Place. Wouldn't the best place to do it be in this tower which Symbolizes a strong
structure which restricts our movements, limits our horizons and confines us to a specific physical and mental location. The Dark Presence or presences want to get out of the Dark Place, so here is this Tower that cracks the door open a little. Just enough to keep the story intense an exiting enough for the story to work.
Not saying that this is where Alan returns, but it's at least an attempt to do that. Possible attempt.

I think it's pretty certain that there is some cosmic horror doing all the nasty things. The Hiss I think they called it...them ...whatever. What's with all the Hiss'es and Scratches Sam??

I will not be disappointed if it's not related to Alan in anyway. This is just fun for me.

Also, I'm so happy that everyone seem to be so exited for Control!

Aaand Thank you to Jaden and Maniac for compiling videos and interviews.

    Cheerio!!!!

(Edit) "I am the servant of the black pyramid." Jesse says in a gameplay video. Intriguing....
