Any chance of including an option to disable the forced 4xMSAA in a future Title Update? Pretty please?

      Agreed.
A full fledged AA option that allows users to decide between MSAA and a shader based AA.

Also, possibly an option to disable Motion Blur? Please?

Hell, being able to just use 2xMSAA would be nice. Then Nvidia users could just enabled MFAA and get the visual quality of 4xMSAA like Remedy wants us to, but with the smaller performance hit of 2xMSAA.

What about Phenom's support? I remember that Remedy promise to fix it.

The game still does a CTD with nVidia cards...hope they are working on this...

              Add Phenom support.
              The game won't launch.

withouth the 4xmsaa we could use downsampling that is way better

At most they'll probably just allow people to change how much MSAA is applied (2x, 4x, 8x) with 2x being the minimum - like with Alan Wake.

I wouldn't be surprised if they added this in the next patch. They were pretty vague when addressing the native resolution situation, and making a point that the reconstruction method is built deep into the engine, implying that it might be impossible, or just very difficult. Yet here we are being able to render the game at our native resolutions.

So I'm hopeful for being able to lower the MSAA to 2x, and then just enabling MFAA so I can still get that 4xMSAA quality but with the smaller performance hit.

Remedy, can you give us a clear answer about Core2Quad and Phenom support??? Or just tell us to forget about this game. It will be fair after all.

wheres the source for this "forced 4xMSAA"? bc as far as i can tell you CAN disable the AA. if you flip AA off youre not getting 4xMSAA.

ofc id much prefer to see a non-binary option but the idea that you cant disable it is bogus.

It's not. The game really forces 4xMSAA, the antialiasing that you can disable in display options is just some form of post-processing AA.

The in game AA option is a post-processing form of AA. It's simply a shader based AA that's applied over the top of the image.

Look next time you play. Turn the AA option off, and look at the game. The image will look mostly unchanged, as there still won't be any aliasing.

checked and you guys are correct. surprises me bc at least with the upscaling, it could make a substantial difference. with upscaling off perhaps much less so. thanks, might play uncapped now.
