  • Game Crashes Instead of Playing Live Action Show

I've been playing the Steam version of Quantum Break on Windows 7 and while the actual game plays just fine, the game just stops whenever it's time to play an episode of the live action show. If it's right after a Junction the game just freezes at the "the community chose" screen and if I try to launch an episode from the Timeline it just freezes as soon as I press A. Windows shows a general "Application has stopped working message." Here are the details to go with the error:

    Problem signature:

Oddly enough, after I beat Act 2 the game did launch the video player and show a recap of the first episode just fine, but when it was time to play the second episode it just crashed again. Again, the actual game works just fine, this is the only thing that doesn't work. I know that the episodes are streamed but I don't have a firewall or anything that could be blocking them, and I have Quantum Break allowed through the Windows firewall. Just for fun, here are my system specs:

    Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
    Intel Core i5 4690K @ 3.50GHz
    8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz
8192MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 390 Series (MSI)

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I ended up fixing this issue by installing Internet Explorer 11
