                The Last Waltz

Opens with "This film should be played loud!".

Being a huge fan of The Band, I was a little apprehensive, but overall I enjoyed it. My biggest gripe is that, in a way, it should have been two separate films -- one the pure concert, and the other an interview-based documentary.

The way it is now, the interviews are mostly a collection of anecdotes -- you don't really get a real sense of the Band's story, who they were, where they came from, how they came to be together, their break with Dylan, what they were trying to do with the music, etc. At least, not in any great detail. For me, I'd have preferred a documentary style like No Distance Left to Run (about britpop band Blur's reunion last year), which I think gave a much clearer portrait of the band.

Still, I can't really complain, the actual performances are fantastic (even the 'guitar duel' between Robertson and Clapton ) and seeing them take the stage with people like Muddy Waters is stunning.

I watched Burn After Reading by Coen brothers.
It was freakin awesome, comes near Fargo. I don't understand some of the bad critic it got. Also it must be easily Brad Pitt's best role, hilarious!
Serious Man is next then I guess

Assault on the Precinct 13. The original. John Carpenter has a talent of making classic cult movies. Everything is perfect in this movie

Last movie I saw was Kick Ass. At home I've been alternating between Band Of Brothers, The Sopranos, Deadwood and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

Some hype here, really. It was good, but felt like it was setting up the Avengers movie more than it was telling its own story.

I just watched a movie called "Moon" on netflix, starring Sam Rockwell. It was VERY good. If ya got the flix, check it out.

"As he nears the end of lonely 3 year stint on the moon base Sarang, astronaut Sam Bell begins to see and hear strange things. It's not long before Sam suspects that his employer - the conglomerate LUNAR - has other plans for him."
