  • Marvel/DC Movies.

Here we can randomly discuss any Marvel or DC movies upcoming. Including the Spidey Reboot, Iron Man 2, Captain America, Thor, Green lantern, ECT.

I will start it off with the news that Chris Evans(Human Torch) has been confirmed to play Captain America in stand alone movies and the Avengers movie. Also to share this manip I found that someone did of all of the avengers...which looks badass.

So what happens when they have a Captain America + Fantastic 4 mash-up?

I think they have a Fantastic 4 Reboot planned using a new cast. Seems they are going for better quality movies and the F4 ones were kinda meh. Just like how they rebooted Hulk.

I loled at that picture. Also, I find it funny that they have to do a Thor movie to do an Avengers movie. I have never met anyone who read Thor.

The thing is, the latest movies (Iron Man, Hulk) have been made by Marvel. The godawful FF movies were made on a license Marvel had sold to Fox. I don't think they're likely to have a lot of interest in maintaining the continuity they have no control over (and probably don't even own) simply because it's not going to fit into the film version of the Marvel Universe they seem intent on creating.

As epic as an Avengers movie will be bringing all those heros(and actors) together is....i'm still more excited for Green Lantern.

As much as I would love to see a Lantern movie, one starring Ryan Reynolds and directed by Martin Campbell... Not so much.

What's wrong with Martin? He did Goldeneye and Casino Royale....great action is a given with him. And Reynolds I think makes a great Hal Jordan. The problem with him is people assume he can only act like some of his roles. It's the same thing when people assumed Nolan was turning Joker into a gay cowboy or a pretty boy heart throb.

But those are Campbell's only good movies. The rest of his filmography reads like a shit-list.

The sequel for the Dark Knight have been revealed and it is called, "The Dark Knight Rises." Also Disney (after bought Marvel) announced the release date for "Iron Man 3" will be on May 3rd, 2013.

The only good mavel/DC whatever movies are the Batman ones i find, all the others always seem directed towards children and i find it hard to enjoy them now im in my 20's, sad but true. I enjoyed Spawn though which many others didn't. Is that green hornet Marvel or DC Comics? It looks awful I watched the trailer

                        Re: Marvel/DC Movies.

Thor looks awful, and is going to fail soooooo bad.

I have no interest in Captain America.

I have a little interest in the new X-Men...just because it's directed by Matt Vaughn. Layer Cake and Kick-Ass are two of my favorites. He hasnt made a bad one yet.

I'm def. interested to see how they pull off the new Spider-Man reboot.

Of course I'm interested in the Dark Knight Rises and I'm really excited that Tom Hardy has joined the cast.

Superman intrigues me as well...I'm eagerly anticipating the announcement of who will play Supes.

Not too interested in Captain America or the Green Lantern, but there is some potential there.

The Deadpool script is supposed to be amazing...they just need to find a director, producer, distributor, and all that good stuff. But the script is supposed to be dynamite.

The first Wolverine movie was horrid...absolutely awful. Some of the worst writing we've seen in super hero movies. And now they added Aronofsky...which is insane. It seems impossible to salvage that series already...but with Aronofsky on board, he just may do it. I still wouldnt hold my breathe, though. Dont expect the 2nd movie to be anything like the 1st...and that's a good thing.

I really, really, really want to see Kick-Ass 2. Right now, everyone involved has a lot on their plates. I really hope this gets done, eventually. It's all on Matt Vaughn.

I do think too that Reynolds is a great Jordan, but i hope he give GL a little break and first shoot the Deadpool Movie, im a huge Deadpool fanboy and cant wait, to see this crazy Merc.
By the way, i know he allready was on film in Wolverine but. lets face it, Wade Wilson was brilliant played by Reynolds but in the moment he turns into Barakkapool....i mena Deadpool,i wished somebody would just stabed my eyes out.
