REMEDY TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CONTROL RESONANT ANNOUNCEMENT FAN ART COMPETITION

Effective Date: 15.12.2025

These are the Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) for Remedy’s CONTROL Resonant Announcement Fan Art Competition. They explain your rights and responsibilities when taking part in the competition. If you do not agree to these terms, you cannot participate in the competition. Remedy reserves the right to modify these T&Cs, postpone, suspend, or terminate the competition, or alter any aspect of it at any time, without prior notice and without any obligation to compensate participants.

1 – Organizer

This competition is organized by Remedy Entertainment Plc (”Remedy”).

2 – No Purchase Necessary

Participation in this competition is free of charge and does not require ownership or purchase of any Remedy games or merchandise.

3 – Competition Period

Starts: 15 December 2025 at 17:00 EET

Ends: 11 January 2026 at 23:59 EET

4 – Eligibility and Submission Requirements

Participants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. By taking part in the competition, the participants warrant they have legal capacity to agree to these terms. Only one entry per participant is allowed. Remedy employees and directors cannot take part in this competition.

Worldwide entries are welcome. However, participation is subject to compliance with all applicable local laws and regulations. The competition is void in any jurisdiction where participation, entry, or receipt of a prize is prohibited, restricted, or subject to additional requirements such as registration, licensing, or taxation. Remedy assumes no liability for any consequences arising from non-compliance with local laws.

All submitted artwork must be wholly original and created entirely by the participant without the use of generative AI. Entries incorporating AI-generated elements, in whole or in part, will be disqualified.

Remedy reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the participant has breached these T&Cs.

5 – How To Take Part

Submit a piece of CONTROL Resonant related fan art in a format of your choice (writing, digital/traditional art, photography, cosplay, video etc.). Post your entry in the #fanart channel in the official Remedy Entertainment Discord server. Your written entries should not exceed 400 words. If you are submitting your entry in a different format, you can include supporting text of no more than 100 words. Submission via any channel must comply with any channel-specific rules and terms and conditions.

6 – Prizes

There will be a total 6 prizes, each comprising one or more item as follows:

  • Community Picks:
    • 1st: The Art and Making of Control book + Control coffee mug
    • 2nd: Control coffee mug + Control mouse mat
    • 3rd: Control mouse mat
  • Remedy Staff Picks:
    • 1st: The Art and Making of Control book + Control coffee mug
    • 2nd: Control coffee mug + Control mouse mat
    • 3rd: Control mouse mat

There are no alternative prizes. Remedy may substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time. Prizes cannot be enforced by any legal means. The prize(s) of the competition are “as shipped” and non-transferable. Remedy will cover the cost of shipping the prize to the winner. Any applicable taxes, customs duties, insurance, or other expenses related to receiving the prize are the responsibility of the winner.

7 – Winner Selection

There will be two categories of winners. One will be based on who gets the most :large_red_square: emoji reactions from community members. The other will be handpicked by Remedy staff.

The winners will be contacted via their method of entry (Discord or email) within three weeks of the end of the competition. If the winners are not reachable, Remedy will contact the runners-up until a winner is selected.

All decisions will be final. Remedy retains the right to award the prizes among the eligible entries in accordance with Remedy’s consideration.

8 – Rights and IP

Participants represent and warrant that their entries are original and do not violate any third-party rights. Participants shall indemnify and hold Remedy harmless from any claims related to intellectual property infringement arising from their entries.

By submitting an entry, participants grant Remedy a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the entry in connection with its marketing and promotional activities for any of Remedy’s products and services, including on social media and other channels, without further compensation. This license does not transfer ownership of the entry to Remedy.

9 – Liability

Remedy is not responsible for entries not received for any reason and is not liable for any issues related to the delivery or condition of prizes, including but not limited to loss, misplacement, damage, or delays.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Remedy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with participation in the competition, the prizes, or these T&Cs, even if Remedy has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Remedy’s total aggregate liability for any claim related to the competition shall not exceed the actual cost of shipping the prize to the winner.

10 – Personal Data

Any personal information provided to Remedy in connection with this competition will be handled and protected by our Competition Privacy Policy (https://community.remedygames.com/control-resonant-announcement-fan-art-competition-privacy-policy/). By entering in into this competition, participants give their consent and grant Remedy the right to process their personal data in accordance with the above-mentioned policy.

11 – Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This competition and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with the competition shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Finnish courts.
